Studio
Rooted in Somerset
Twelve landscape architects, ecologists and horticulturists working from an old plant nursery outside Frome. Founded in 2009 by Clare Hawthorn and Daniel Ash.
Keep what grows
Existing trees, soils and hedges are the most valuable things on any site. We design around them.
Slow the water
Every drop of rain is held, cleaned and used before it leaves the site — in swales, ponds and planting.
Feed everything
Plants are chosen for pollinators, birds and people: flowers, berries, fruit and shelter.
