FAQ
Common questions
When should a facade engineer be appointed?
Ideally at concept stage. Early decisions on module size, system type and floor-to-floor height have the biggest impact on cost and performance.
Do you work for contractors as well as clients?
Yes — we act as design engineer for contractors, or as the client's independent consultant. We never do both on the same project.
Which standards do you design to?
Eurocodes and EN 13830 as standard, plus local codes such as ASTM / AAMA for the Middle East and CWCT-type test sequences where specified.
How are fees calculated?
Either a fixed fee per stage or a rate per m² of facade. We send a transparent fee proposal within five working days of receiving drawings.
