The stacked forms began with a pile of stones on a beach in Brittany: three shapes that should not have balanced, but did. Number four is the first to use a turned wooden cylinder between two bronze masses, so the eye reads weight, then warmth, then weight again.

The sphere at the top is cast hollow and weighs less than it looks. Visitors always try to lift it with two hands, and laugh when one is enough.
