A house for a collection.

The clients own one of the finest private collections of 18th-century French furniture. The brief was to create a home where those pieces could live — not as museum objects, but as part of daily life with three children and two dogs.

We restored the original walnut boiseries, reopened the enfilade and introduced a palette of oxblood, deep green and gold that changes through the day. Modern comfort — heating, lighting, sound — is invisible, integrated by our ateliers into panelling and furniture.

“Nothing should look new. Everything should feel cared for.”
Hélène Verdane
