About — est. 2009

Since 2009,
only up.

Steeplejack started with eleven people and one 14-storey job in Leslieville. Today we are 640 people in Toronto and Vancouver, with our own core crews, our own climbing rigs and a habit of topping out early.

Our story

A contractor built around the core.

Our founders came from a formwork subcontractor. They had watched too many towers wait for the crane, the core or the concrete — so they built a company where the core never waits for anyone.

In 2013 we bought our first hydraulic self-climbing rig. In 2017 we opened in Vancouver. In 2021 we started installing factory-finished bathroom pods, and our typical floor cycle dropped from nine days to six.

We still run our own core, formwork and concrete crews. It is the reason we can promise a cycle — and keep it.

Values

How we work at height.

01

Up, safely

No programme is worth an injury. Every worker can stop the job, no questions asked.

02

Six days, every floor

We plan the cycle before we price it, and we price only what we can repeat.

03

Say it on day one

Problems go on the board the morning they appear — to clients, trades and crews.

04

Leave it better

Cleaner sites, recycled formwork and low-carbon mixes on every slab since 2023.
