About us
We build lightly on the coast.
Ostrea Living is a family developer from the south coast. Since 2004 we have built six small villa developments — never more than forty homes, never higher than the pines.
Our story
From a fisherman's house to six coves.
Marta and Joan Ferrà restored their first house — a fisherman's cottage on the harbour — in 2001. The neighbours asked them to do the same for theirs. Twenty years later, the company still works out of that harbour, with the same builders, stonemasons and carpenters.
We name our company after the oyster: it filters the water it lives in and leaves the bay cleaner than it found it. That is the standard we hold every project to.
Principles
Three things we always do.

Follow the contour
We design along the existing terraces and keep every mature tree. Roads are narrow, gravel and lined with stone walls.

Build with what is here
Stone from the excavation, lime from the island, timber from certified local forests. Less transport, more character.

Give water back
Every villa harvests rain, recycles grey water for the garden and runs on the sun for most of the year.
