Live a little closer to the sea.

The place

Built into the hill, not on top of it.

Cala Mora follows the old dry-stone terraces of a former almond grove. Each villa sits on its own terrace, sunk into the slope so the roof garden of one is below the sightline of the next. Nobody looks at a neighbour; everybody looks at the sea.

Walls are built from the stone dug out of the hill. Shutters are local pine. Pools are heated by the sun, and every villa collects its own rainwater for the garden.

How we build

A day at Cala Mora

“We swim before breakfast, eat lunch under the pines and watch the boats come in from the roof. We never planned to stay all year.”
